I've never really cared about the whole "Hanoi Jane" thing, as her politics are her own business, and I think that she has even expressed a degree of regret over certain aspects of that unpopular stance.

That twat Vadim ruined the girl, bullying her into believing she was some unsophisticated American hick who needed to liberate herself by allowing him and his chums to gang bang her at their orgies.

If you're into that sort of thing, fine, but some people can't just wipe away the effect it has on them like it's cum on their face, and for years after, the fire, still in her eyes during Barbarella, vanished, leaving them looking dead in Klute.
