These bring back a lot of memories (and angst). Bob was the guy who's work I had to compete with when I first started painting covers for Marvel. His work is just remarkable! I was more than pleased to write the introduction to his art book from SQP as he was such a big influence on my work.

There's a book on Larkin?? Fantastic news, I need to scare up a copy. My fav is his cover to PLANET OF THE APES #5; particularly, I guess, because that was the very first comic I saw as a very little kid and decided I could not live without!

There's also THE BOB LARKIN SKETCHBOOK, collecting some of the pencil work that went into his paintings. You can find it here: http://www.starwarpconcepts.com/?page_id=63

Thank you for the info, guys! Looks like I'm gonna have to save some pennies and buy some books!

Now if they'd just do books on Kuntsler and Norem I'd be stylin'!

Wow. They paraphrased my quote from my intro to the other Larkin book. Hmmmm.
