For those who don't know:Jack Kirby created "Funky Flashman".
"Funky Flashman"=Stan Lee
(Jack Kirby did not like Stan Lee)

Most people know or at least understand that Jack had his reasons for spoofing "The Man".

Every one of those Who's Who illustrations makes you wanna go out and pick up the comics and read them.

I doubt that anyone feels the same way about any of the Stan Lee Just Imagine DC one-shots, or Stripperella, or Mosaic/The Condor (Pow!), or Ultimo/Bones (manga).

Without a Kirby, a Ditko or any of the other "wrists" who apparently just drew Stan's stories, the whole "Marvel Method" notwtithstanding, the guy can't create a fart that makes any sense.

I think it's unfair to write Stan off, completely, Steve.

Yes,it is the collaboration that made, for example,Fantastic Four work.
It's obvious that Lee had talent, but he needed someone to collaborate with,to be able to strike gold.
(Costume/character-design is key.)
If only the company gave credit (and money) were credit's due.
And if only Jack Kirby (and Jerry Siegel & Joe Shuster and...)had had a decent contract.
And;Thank you,Joe.

Love these.

Despite the fact that these are clearly from Kirby's later and diminished period, they still sizzle with his creativity.

I got rid of a bunch of my DC comics long ago, but I held onto these simply because they had these Kirby images in them. Those Fourth World books are dynamite.
