Wow! Many thanks, Joe! I enjoyed the "Who's Who" series when it came out. I enjoy it even more the way you've arranged it. Here's hoping to see something similar with the "Superman family" and the entries illustrated by Kirby and Ditko.
many thanks i love the silver age and will always tresure these entry's
Well, these do not date to the Silver Age, azam khan. In fact, they weren't produced until the mid-'80s.
In fact, I regard the characters here as bastardizations — some of the Golden Age and some of the Bronze Age, but bastardizations all.
Joe presented an example of the Bronze Age Batman is here. That is the goddamn'd Batman.
I could read stuff like this all day. more please.
Nice stuff. Who wouldn’t be happy to see Dave Stevens drawing the Catwoman. Any chance of digging up the three Gil Kane pages for the 1990 series? These were full-page action shots and he drew new pages of Chronos, Sonar and Dr. Polaris. You might as well throw in the Batman stuff too, since this included a Bolland Joker and a Gulacy Hugo Strange.
well, I'll definately be doing the Kirby ones, at some point. there wasn't a lot of Ditko, but Jerry Ordway did some nice entries, as did Jose Luis Garcia-Lopez, so I might do them. Superman family? if I get the time, yeah.
meamwayne, I don't think I've ever seen 1990 series. I'll have to seek it out.
