Have a look at this. This is lovely. Published back in 1990's Crisis # 40, these terrific images were scanned from Tony's original art, especially for Grantbridge Street, by top bloke and big-time Tony fan, Matthew Southworth ( for those of you unfamiliar with Matthew's own work, you might well want to check out Oni Press' rather cool Stumptown, with Greg Rucka, and also The Crocodile Hunter, with Mandy McMurray, from the DC's 2010 Batman 80-Page Giant, it's all good! ). Wow, thank you so much for posting some of Tony Salmons best work ever! The drawings are beautiful as ever but the color work is just off the charts! I never knew he was so good at it!
I've been an ardent fan of his since I saw his version of Cloak and Dagger in Marvel Fanfare #19. Unfortunately he hasn't produced much work. It seems that he is notoriously hard to work with.
And before I go I'd just like to say what a fantastic story this is by James Robinson! It is so poignant and more relevant today than when it was first written!
