I know that I've said it here before, but I love Jack Burnley's Starman.
The fact that such lovely artwork never earned the golden age hero a spot at the top of the food chain in the DCU has always stumped me.
Editor Julie Schwartz should have rvived him "as is" in his own series once National started rebooting their line in the mid-1950's
if only, 'ey? I remember they tried something with him in The Brave and the Bold ( I think ), where they kept pairing him off with, of all characters, Black Canary. if you click on "black canary" in the labels and scroll down a couple of posts, you'll find one of them here. they were ok ( ish ), but just ok ( ish ). great Murphy Anderson art, anyway.
you're right, it was a great missed chance on Julie's part.
