Given the extent of Wood's contribution here, it's appalling that the title page exclusively credits Kirby.

straight up. apparently, the script is by a guy called Dan Wood, too.

This is a reprint from Super DC Giant #S-25 from 1971, Kirby is not listed in ANY credits from his original 50's DC work at all. They weren't too fond of his style, of course they took him back as soon as he left Marvel in 1970 though. Who knows what DC could've done in the 60's with him? Marvel might have gone the way of Dell, Charlton, Gold Key, etc. etc. etc.

interesting enough, mikey, I believe that Jack was Stan's second choice for the Fantastic Four. he actually wanted Joe Maneely to do it, but Maneely couldn't, on account of his being all dead and what-have-you.
