RAB said...: I remember seeing the first few of these way back in 1976 and thinking "Yeah, sure, it'd be great if they made a movie that actually looked like like that, but concept art always looks cooler than the finished product. This one'll be just another letdown." That's one case where I was quite happy to be proved wrong.

Mind you, it didn't help that I'd also seen a blurb for the film saying something like "The creator of American Graffiti returns next year with The Star Wars, about juvenile delinquents in outer space..."; 2 April 2010 06:56
