Booksteve said...: Do you notice how the art in this reprinting has been heavily retouched? This is, of course, the 1966 version of the origin as originally run in the Harvey SPIRIT # 1. Do a side-by side comparison and you'll see that it has not just been completely re-colored! Some panels have been extended, others redrawn. In the panel with a hanging picture, the subject of the picture is even commpletely different! I actually prefer this version and wonder if Eisner--then working with Warren--did it or supervised it himself!; 17 May 2009 01:45
