Always remember a couple of Star Wars issues he drew back in 78 or 79. I'd never seen anything like it, just beautiful stuff ...

Next time I'm back in Ireland I'll have to root through me old comic pile and dust those off!

Isn't he the guy also who recently did that infamous 'Dr Strange' commission?

I just love these short gems by Golden you and the Groovy Agent have been posting - most of them I haven't seen before. Thanks so much.

Lubbert - as I recall, there was only one Star Wars issue drawn by Golden: #38 (inked by the peerless Terry Austin), which is absolutely beautiful, with also a fantastic stand-alone Star Wars story.

Edo, you're right, Michael Golden only drew the one issue of Star Wars, but here in the UK, and Ireland, we got Star Wars Weekly, a black & white title which would normally take two to three issues to cover the one US edition, so, to us, the one Golden issue becomes a couple of issues. either which way, you're both right: it's a beautiful book!

and, Lubbert, mate: yeah, that'd be him with the Dr. Strange commission. what a stinker, 'ey?
